2010 is the last year Simon Cowell will be a judge on American Idol. He wants to spend more time working on his new show, “X Factor.“ The big question is, “can anyone replace Simon Cowell?” Simon is the sort of person you either like or hate. There is no in between. His biting wit, sarcasm, and cockiness hits the nail smack dab on the head.
Whoever does fill Simon’s seat will add their own personality. Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi are kind people who try their best to soften the blow when a contestant has to leave the show. Ellen DeGeneres is on-board to replace Paula Abdul. Everyone, especially the contestants, will miss Abdul, who has been dubbed “The Queen of Nice.” Ellen is nice too.
American Idol has four judges - Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardia, Ellen DeGeneres, and Simon Cowell. However, no one cuts though it like “The King of Mean” - Simon Cowell. With so much nice at the judge’s table, you need to add some one who is the opposite. The mixture only enriches the judge’s panel. There are rumors that Jamie Foxx has put his hat in the ring. However, the year is young. Let’s see who else may be interested.
Another name has just popped up - Sir Elton John. Here’s another Brit who is savvy, witty, and intelligent. Many Tweeters have written in their micro blogs that they will stop watching the show, but maybe Elton John could bring them back.
