Paula Abdul made a cameo appearance in the audience of Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday October 6, 2009. She look great and was in excellent spirits. Her departure from American Idol has not seemed to have hurt her career as she has had appearances on televison's Divas and other shows as well. There has even been a rumor that Simon Cowell wants to bring a version of another British reality show to the US and Paula Abdul has been mentioned in the tabloids as being one of the judges. It looks like there are no hard feeelings between her and her co-stars from American Idol. But will the show go on as well without her? That seems to be the ultimate question in the mind of the viewers and the TV execs as well. American Idol without Paula may well lose some of its grace and compassion. Ellen DeGeneres doesn't have those qualities. American Idol may have more humor but is that what it really needs to stay and even raise its ratings for the next season? And will the Idol contestants find only harsh criticism without Paula's compassionate guidance? I hope that the final contestants on the show are extremely talented to aid the watchablity of the show once Paula has left. And I also hope that these same contestants have a tougher skin to face the judges this coming season.
Paula did look happy on Dancing With The Stars and seems to be getting on with her life after American Idol -- but can American Idol get on with it's life after Paula Abdul?
