Bo Bice is a name that anyone who watches "American Idol" is familiar with. A few seasons ago, Bice electrified the "American Idol" scene with some of the most different and complex performances on the show in quite a long time. He took the show and the audience by storm. Although, in season four he was ultimately the second place finisher, he got quite a kick start out of the show. However, Bice had been singing long before "American Idol."
Bo had a difficult childhood. Born in Huntsville, Alabama in 1975, he came from a broken home and eventually moved from Alabama to a number of different locations. One of his stops was England. His stepfather, Earle, tended to get transferred and England was one of the places they settled. For Bo, it was an interesting time because he landed in England in his teen years and had an opportunity to explore his musical tastes. He was determined to perform and so he began his first band, as well as started writing music. He expanded his musical instrument expertise and learned guitar, saxophone and piano. He also found his niche in the type of music that he wanted to perform, settling on rock, blues and Christian. He typically enjoys southern rock and a bit of pop as well.
He left "American Idol" with a recording contract in hand and now tours regularly. He currently works with RCA and Sugarmoney for his productions.
