Season eight of American Idol has just got interesting, and it truly is a great season with great talent. This year the contestants are full of energy and determination.
The first emerging stars of the season are both coming to us from California. Adam Lambert, a 26 year old who blew the judges away with his rock style, and Allison Iraheta, a 16 year old teenager with an amazing pitch range. Next there is Alexis Grace, a 21 year old single mom from Tennessee who has some excellent control over her voice. Jasmine Murray, who is 16 from Mississippi, is showing you can have extraordinary vocal talent even at a young age. Lil Rounds is a 23 year old from Memphis, Tennessee. She has looks and the right voice. Matt Giraud, 23 from Michigan, blew the judges away with his bluesy vocals. Next there is Kris Allen, a 23 year old from Arkansas. Scott McIntyre is 23 from Arizona, who also plays the piano. Then this season has Michael Sarver, 27, who is the oil rigger from Texas, who continues to astonish the judges. The final three are Meagan Joy, 22 years old from Utah, which was one of Simon’s favorite; Jorge Nunez, from Puerto Rico, is 20, and finally the one who made it this season’s top 13; and 21 year old Anoop Desai, from North Carolina.
American should be getting ready for the ultimate showdown that is sure to take place with all of this excellent talent.
