David started his singing career, along with his brothers, at the ripe old age of 4. David and his brothers were discovered by Bob Hope himself, and then invited to sing on his 1986 Christmas TV Show. By the age of 18, he became the understudy for his uncle, Donny Osmond, with a national touring musical called, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. David also worships with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And spent 2 years in Madrid, Spain, on a mission for the church. He returned in 2000, and went back to singing, and back to college at Brigham Young University. But several years later, David started suffering from the symptoms of a simple mosquito bite. The insect had given David what is called the West Nile Virus. Christmas of 2005 was when his health started to really decline. But just two and a half years later he had improved enough to get back to the stage.
David auditioned for American Idol in 2009, and he made it to Hollywood. But while waiting to go on stage, David got a terrible case of laryngitis. Sadly it was a one-time shot, and David didn't make it through. But David says he has no regrets, and he's very excited about his future.
