Singer and songwriter Bo Bice was born on November, 1st in Huntsville, Alabama. Bice grew up in a broken family, his mother and father divorced and she later remarried. Bo grew up with his mother and her new husband and had 1 half brother and 3 step sisters. As a child, Bice and his family frequently moved around in the United States and eventually lived in England. Over his childhood years, Bice always enjoyed music and played guitar every chance he got. Bice attended high school in England, but decided to move back to Alabama and seek his GED.
After years of playing music in clubs and practicing daily, Bice hit it big when he auditioned and made in on to the hit reality show American Idol. Bice just made the age cutoff and made the final 12 contestants on the 2005 season. Bice came in second behind front runner Carrie Underwood and although Bice did not become the next American Idol, his exposure helped get him on track and start a successful career.
After his run on American Idol, Bice released his first album in 2005, titled “The Real Thing.” The album featured hit songs like “You’re Everything,” “Nothing Without You” and “It’s My Life.” The album sold 227,000 copies and debuted at number 4. Bice has released a 2nd album in 2007 titled “See the Light,” which features songs “Witness, I’m Gone,” “Only Words” and “Sinner In A Sin.”
Bice currently resides in Tennessee with his wife Caroline, who he met working at a local guitar store. The couple has 2 sons together, Aidan and Caleb. Bice continues to work on his music and spent much of 2008 touring.
