In American Idol’s fourth season, Bo Bice came in second to Carrie Underwood. He was only able to take part in the last show of the American Idol tour due to intestinal problems. His first post-Idol album, “The Real Thing,” received many great reviews.
Bo Bice, who is more soulful and laid back likes to have more control over the style of his music. Since his first album, Bo has been given more control over the song material, music and production that goes into his albums. His newest album, “See the Light,” is true to his southern rock roots and the real Bo. His fans love the newer CD. Bo was the first rocker to be on the American Idol show, which helped him tremendously. Fans flocked to him like a magnet, and are very loyal, too.
It is difficult to compare Bo to other American Idol finalists, because his style is so different. The southern rocker from Alabama is currently on tour and his record sales are up with the best of them now. Other rock artists that got their start on American Idol include Chris Daughtry and David Cook. Along with Bo Bice, they each have something unique to contribute to the world of rock music. Bo holds his own place in the music industry alongside such great artists as The Allman Brothers Band, which greatly influenced his musical style.
