Anthony Fedorov

Anatoliy Vladimirovich Fedorov was born on May 4, 1985 in Yalta, Soviet Union. He is best known as a Ukrainian American singer who finished in fourth place on American Idol's fourth season. His family moved to the United States in 1994. Despite a windpipe birth defect that resulted in a tracheotomy as a toddler, he worked hard at his singing early on. His tenor range and ability to play the piano help him in the ballads he sings.

Even though he finished in fourth place on Idol, he was the second most favored contestant behind Carrie Underwood. All three Idol judges rated ballads as his best genre. When he sang “If You Don’t Know Me By Now” they said it was one of his best performances to date. His fans dubbed themselves as the “Fedoration." Since his Idol days he toured American Air Force bases in Europe performing and judging Military Idol.

He also began a stint in an off-Broadway production of “The Fantasticks” beginning May 1, 2007 at the Snapple Theater Center. He has recorded his debut album with the help of Adam Anders, Nikki Anders and Peer Astrom and is in the process of meeting with record labels. Since his brother’s death in 2006 he has been an active spokesperson for the Sarcoma Foundation of America. He even performed for their gala on May 21, 2007. With his talent and charisma, it is clear Fedorov is here to stay.
