Mikalah Gordon was born January 14, 1988 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Gordon currently resides in Los Angeles, California. She attended St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic School in her earlier school years. Gordon also performed regularly with her father and even performed at the White House. While she performed with her father, he taught her the ins and outs of music as well as to be very diverse in all that you do. Gordon is a former Helen Joy Young Entertainer.
Gordon worked at an oxygen bar up until she auditioned for American Idol in Las Vegas. Gordon managed to make it through five weeks on American Idol until she was eliminated. Gordon left Idol as the eleventh contestant on Season 4. Her final Idol song performed was “Love Will Lead You Back,” by Taylor Dayne.
American Idol was not the end for Gordon. Warner Brothers gave her a record deal. Gordon appeared in several TV shows like Living With Fran and had an appearance on The Tyra Banks Show. Later, Gordon obtained a job working as a Tyra Banks Show correspondent. The versatility Gordon’s father instilled in her helped her to Co-Host the American Idol Extra show. Gordon also appeared on NBC’s hit show Identity and CBS’s The Unit. Gordon was also a contestant on CMT’s Reality TV show Gone Country Season 2. Mikalah Gordon is currently producing her first album.
